One person dies in Monroe County fire

The fire started early Thursday in a home in Ross Township.

MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — The coroner was called to a fire Thursday morning in Monroe County.

The fire started around 4 a.m. at a home on Owl Hollow Drive in Ross Township, near Saylorsburg.

State police confirmed that one person died. Five others who lived there made it out safely.

A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause.
